Happy Birthday Hunter!

Tripawds is a user-supported community. Thank you for your support!

Our SUPER DOG is 9 years old today!

We took him swimming last week and he can still easily out swim his monkeybutt sister Hailey!

We take him on short walks every day (about 25 minutes), but swimming comes so much easier for this Tripawd!

Maybe he should switch from pheasant hunting to duck hunting?!

He is doing very well and is quite the happy boy.  He is taking all of his supplements and just finished transitioning to a complete raw diet.  His coat has never looked better!

He had his 3rd chemotherapy appointment yesterday.

The good news is that his CBC looks great and his ALT is finally within normal limits!

The scary news is that one of his 3 chest xrays showed something questionable.

The weird thing is that when they retook the view ….. the questionable area didn’t show up!

We are told not to worry too much about it and they will retake the xray in 3 weeks when Hunter goes in for his 4th and possibly final round of chemotherapy.  It could be nothing.  Our oncologist says it’s an “iffy” finding.  And, with it not showing up on ALL of the views there is more of a chance that it is not a metastasis.

We are just going to believe that it’s nothing and keep on giving Hunter our pawsitive thoughts, love and encouragement!

Here are the xrays from our oncologist:

Right lateral chest xray with questionable area.

Retake of xray.  It’s not there!!

Happy Birthday Hunter!!! I hope you have a great day!! I’m sending you very positive thoughts that that little speck on your x-rays is just that: a little speck of nothing!! You look like you are having a great time swimming!! Excellent exercise for a Tripawd, keep up the good work (and get some ducks for your Mom and Dad while you’re out there!!)!!!

Good job on the check-up Hunter. It looks like you should be in London with the US team!
