Happy times…

We took Hunter, and his sister Hailey, on their first boat outing of the year yesterday.

Went to Moose Lake… a quiet, little, no access fee lake near our house.

Here are some photos from our afternoon…

Hunter’s favorite spot on our boat was always on the front with his ears flapping in the breeze as we were motoring around.

Yesterday, at first he headed for the back of the boat when we started moving.  But with some encouragement and some help with stabilization from me… he soon was back at the front of the boat, ears flapping happily!   Way to go Hunter!

Looks like a lot of fun being had by all!! Way to get those ears back flappin’ even if it means standing on top of Dad!! Hailey looks lovely too. Sure am glad you all are having a nice summer.

Very nice pictures, I especially like the one of the two of them looking out at the lake. Hunter looks good, I’m glad he got over his bout with the one-day sickies.

Thanks everyone! I’m so glad that Hunter rallied so well after being so sick. He sure is one tough (& happy) dog!

That has got it all. Ears flapping in the breeze and surrounded by water. Two very happy dogs!

Yay for Hunter! Glad to see him enjoying that boat.
Fyi we shied away from raw food due to the spoilage risk.
We roast hunks of beef and steam the veggies pretty aggressively. The mixture lasts very well post-freezing. We also mix 50-50 with high quality dry food for crunch and teeth. Next time we cook I’ll post the details.
